Poros is an island which looks like a peninsula of the southwestern coast of the Saronic Gulf, since it is only a few meters away from the shore. The landscape of this island is beautiful with its hills full of pine trees and many lovely beaches. The main town of the island is built amphitheatrically on a hill and you will be amazed by the elegant neoclassical mansions and the view to the sea.

How to get there:

  • By ferry boat from the port of Piraeus (duration of the journey: 2 hours and 15 minutes), or by flying dolphin or catamaran (duration of the journey: 1 hour - 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on the type of ship).
  • Αlso, there is a ferry connection between Poros and Galatas. In an attempt to preserve the island’s traditional character, you can explore Poros using the local transportation, on foot or by traditional boats.
